Ms Francine LOOK-HONG was elected as Vice President of Adaptive Programs for "The Pickleball World Federation" ("The PWF") in December 2024. She brings a lifelong passion for inclusive sports to her leadership role. Her dedication to expanding access to sports began in her childhood in Trinidad, where she was immersed in an active sporting environment, and has grown into a career focused on creating opportunities for athletes of all abilities. Ms Look-Hong's early athletic success in tennis, representing her country in regional and international tournaments and competing at Broward Community College in Florida, provided a foundation for her commitment to sports development. While at Broward, she also honed her skills as a sports writer for the college newspaper. In 2015, Ms Look-Hong co-founded PlayAble Caribbean, a branch of PlayAble Global, dedicated to promoting sports for all in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. Through PlayAble Caribbean, she has developed and implemented numerous community and school sports programs, including coaching workshops and sports demonstrations. The organization's work has been recognized by Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministries of Sport, Community, and Education. Ms Look-Hong 's expertise extends to adaptive sports, where she holds coaching certifications in Wheelchair Tennis, Boccia, and Athletics. She has been instrumental in introducing Boccia to several Caribbean nations and has achieved referee status with the US Boccia Organization. As Vice President of Adaptive Programs for "The Pickleball World Federation" ("The PWF"), Ms Look-Hong is uniquely positioned to leverage her experience and passion to expand the reach of pickleball to athletes with disabilities. Her proven track record in program development, coaching, and advocacy will be invaluable in ensuring that pickleball becomes a truly inclusive sport for all.
